Hi there! I’m Paul.
I'm an award winning Denver-based photographer and director creating cinematic portraiture and lifestyle imagery shaped by dramatic light and rich atmosphere. My work blends carefully directed light, composed human presence, and immersive environments to produce images that feel like still frames from a larger story. Visually intentional, emotionally grounded, and built to live inside campaigns.
I've spent over two decades working alongside agency creatives, brand teams, and production crews. I genuinely love the collaborative side of this work. The best shoots happen when everyone in the room (creative directors, producers, photographers, stylists, etc) is aligned and building something together rather than just checking boxes. On set that means clear communication, calm energy, and a crew assembled with intention. I take pride in matching the production footprint to the concept and budget all the while keeping standards high and client goals in sight.
When I'm not behind a camera I'm usually making something with my hands. Right now that means working on the ongoing renovation of Ethel, my 1964 travel trailer, keeping my vintage Honda motorcycle, Ursula, alive and on the road, or diving into whatever the current project is at Ghost, my production studio space in Denver.
Turns out the instincts that drive my passion in my projects (craftsmanship, attention to detail, problem solving, and knowing how to communicate a vision clearly) are also the same instincts that show through in my photography.
